چکیده

Deconvolution is widely used to improve resolution in microscopy. Unfortunately, deconvolution optical coherence tomography (OCT) sensitive noise which inherently results additive artifacts. These artifacts severely impair the fidelity of deconvolved images and limit its use OCT imaging. Here we propose a framework that encodes numerical random phase masks Fourier space image, produce sub-resolution image with removed. The optimized joint operation an iterative Richardson-Lucy synthesis (RPM), termed as Deconv-RPM, enables 2.7-fold enhancement both transverse axial resolutions. We demonstrate Deconv-RPM method allows imaging previously unresolved cellular-level details human labial mucosa vivo significantly improved clarity.

Gaussian beam deconvolution in optical coherence tomography

Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is an emerging, high-resolution near-infrared imaging and microscopy technique. The axial and transverse resolutions in OCT can each be analyzed independently, with the axial resolution inversely proportional to the spectral bandwidth of the optical source and the transverse resolution defined by standard Gaussian beam optics. While high numerical-aperture obj...

Experimental Visualization of Labyrinthine Structure with Optical Coherence Tomography

Introduction:Visualization of inner ear structures is a valuable strategy for researchers and clinicians working on hearing pathologies. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a high-resolution imaging technology which may be used for the visualization of tissues. In this experimental study we aimed to evaluate inner ear anatomy in well-prepared human labyrinthine bones.Materials and Methods:Thr...

Polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography using continuous polarization modulation with arbitrary phase modulation amplitude.

We demonstrate theoretically and experimentally that the phase retardance and relative optic-axis orientation of a sample can be calculated without prior knowledge of the actual value of the phase modulation amplitude when using a polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography system based on continuous polarization modulation (CPM-PS-OCT). We also demonstrate that the sample Jones matrix ...

Motion artifact suppression in full-field optical coherence tomography.

Significant motion artifacts limit the performance of conventional full-field optical coherence tomography (FF-OCT) for in-vivo imaging. We present a theoretical and experimental study of those limitations. A new FF-OCT system suppressing most of artifacts due to sample motions is demonstrated using instantaneous phase shifting with nonpolarizing optics and pulsed illumination. The experimental...

Non-iterative numerical method for laterally superresolving Fourier domain optical coherence tomography.

A numerical deconvolution method to cancel lateral defocus in Fourier domain optical coherence tomography (FD-OCT) is presented. This method uses a depth-dependent lateral point spread function and some approximations to design a deconvolution filter for the cancellation of lateral defocus. Improved lateral resolutions are theoretically estimated; consequently, the effect of lateral superresolu...
